Industrial Radiography- TRAINING COURSE
Course Objective:
The aim of this course, a pre-requisite to obtaining a license, is to train personnel who intend to operate industrial radiography equipment in principles of radiation safety. Operators are required to hold a license in compliance with state legislation.

Industrial radiation hazards.
Safe use of radiographic equipment.
Safe working procedures.
Regulations And Legal Aspects.
Radiation safety act and regulations.
Code of practice and standards.
Legal aspects.
Practical Sessions.
Use of monitoring equipment.
Use and maintenance of gamma cameras.
Source recovery techniques.
Course Duration:
Four days plus a half day for an approved qualifying examination.
Competency Level:
On completion of the course the trainee should be able to pass the approved qualifying examination and competently operate industrial radiography equipment and minimise doses received to such a level that the hazards are virtually zero.
